Bořek Dočkal was operated because of the Achilles tendon on Tuesday. The midfielder, who returned to Sparta in winter after being in China and the USA had health problems which did not let him play at the top level.
He may have been out about four months. Sparta medical team cannot predict the exact time of his return to the pitch due to the short time since operation.
"His injury was degenerative, so we decided to repair the Achilles tendon," says Miroslav Sinkule.
Filip Panák, who moved to Letná from Karviná in winter, could not get to the full training process. Filip has a knee problem. In his case the expected time of comeback to the matches is between four to six months. However, it is also too early for better predictions.
"Filip suffered an injury in the last November. In his case, we operated him because of better healing of the knee cartilage," explains club doctor Miroslav Sinkule.
"We support the boys in the process of coming back to the pitch as much as possible. They receive adequate service from us," says Tomáš Rosický, Sports Director of AC Sparta Praha.
