The final of the MOL Cup was supposed to be played two weeks ago, but the match was cancelled due to bad weather conditions. It was sunny this time, and nothing stopped us from playing the match. Slovácko started the game actively and used the penalty kick to open the score after the foul in the 12th minute. The successful scorer was Jurečka. Reinberk added the second goal for his team with a header. Hancko scored a beautiful goal and Sparta was only one goal behind its opponent. However, the home team scored again a few seconds after that. Reinberk set the final score with a nice shot from behind the penalty area. The second half did not bring many opportunities and Slovácko won the MOL Cup.
Spartan's coach Michal Horňák made only one change in comparison to the weekend's game against Slavia. Tomáš Wiesner received a red card in that match, therefore, he could not play in the final of the cup. Casper Højer replaced him in the starting eleven. Panák and Čelůstka were not available for this game due to health problems.
Suchomel made a mistake in the defence and then he fouled the home player. The referee whistled straight away and pointed to the penalty kick. Václav Jurečka took the ball and opened the score of the match in the 12th minute. His shot went to the opposite side than Heča decided to jump, 1-0.
LK37 had a dangerous attempt from about 25 metres two minutes later. Nguyen had to box to the corner kick.
Petržela sent Jurečka for the chance in the 20th minute. He was able to get the ball behind Heča's back. Our goalkeeper touched the ball, but Vitík had to kick it away from the goal line.
Sparta showed a nice signal from the corner kick five minutes later. The ball went to Hložek, who was waiting for it in the penalty area line. His shot from the first touch had the right direction but unfortunately, it was blocked by one of the home players.
Slovácko had a free kick from 18 metres. It was blocked by the Spartan's wall and Havlík sent a long pass into the penalty area then. He found Jurečka's head who passed it to Reinberk. His header right in front of Heča went up to the goal, 2-0.
Hancko did not know what to do with the ball in the 42nd minute, so he decided to shoot. His attempt went exactly to the corner of the Nguyen's goal! What a beautiful football moment, 2-1.
Slovácko answered a few seconds later. Jurečka prepared a good position for Reinberk and passed him the ball. He did not give any chance to Heča and by a nice shot returned two goals difference for his team, 3-1. That was all we saw in the first half.
Čvančara passed to LK37 who tightly missed the target with a header in a good opportunity in the 48th minute.
Cicilia tried to score while falling to the ground four minutes later. Sparta's goalkeeper was careful and covered his attempt.
Milan Heča made an important save against Kalabiška in the 69th minute. The home striker appeared alone in front of our goalkeeper, but he ran out of his goal and cleared this chance.
We did not see any other opportunities in this match and the game was delayed many times. Slovácko won 3-1.
