BK Häcken knocked Sparta out of Europa League

The 2013/2014 Europa League campaign ended at the beginning. Sparta can’t beat Swedish side BK Häcken in two matches.  Sparta knocked out of Europa League after draw 2:2 in the first leg and loss 0:1 in the second leg of the 2nd qualifying round.

Sparta started the second the leg with one change in the starting line-up. Ladislav Krejčí replaced Tomáš Přikryl at left wing. And talented midfielder had two big opportunities in the first half but Häcken’s goalkeeper Källqist performed very well in both chances and stopped the ball.
Home side had some big chances too in the first half. Shots by El Kabir and Chatto was denied by superb Tomáš Vaclík. The big blow for Sparta was injury of Pavel Kadeřábek who was kicked in face and he had to leave the pitch. He had to go to the hospital.
The second half Sparta started with decent chances but Källqvist was very well prepared. Sparta scored goal in the 52nd minute by Hušbauer but was cancelled by referees due to offside position.
The decisive moment came in the 84th minute. Long pass to penalty area by Häcken’s captain Ericsson flew up to the goal without anyone touched the ball – 1:0 to Häcken. Home side defended very well in the last minutes and they ensured a win and advance to the next qualifying round of the Europa League.
