Sparta started with a 4-4-2 lineup. Michal Sáček was on the right side of the defense and Srdjan Plavšić was on right wing. Attacker Benjamin Tetteh was in the squad after his injury in derby.
Sparta started actively but without clear chances. The first opportunity was on the other side. After fifteen minutes, Moravec passed through our defense, found Lingr and he missed a goal. After this chance the game changed.
The reward for active Karvina came after half an hour. Nita fouled Guba in the box, referee Julínek ordered a penalty after a video consultation and Lukáš Budínský scored.
Stanciu was fouled near the penalty area. His free kick unfortunately missed the goal. Another important moment came a few minutes before the half time. Budínský fouled Vatajelu and after a intervention from the videoreferee, Julínek sent Budínský off. Sparta did not use the advantage in the first half and the score was 0:1.
Six minutes after the break came the equalizer. Uroš Radaković scored by his head after the corner kick. It was the first league goal for the Serbian defender.
After an hour, Karviná had a great chance to get back into the lead. Lingr got the ball in the middle of a penalty area, but he did not shoot perfectly and Nita saved the ball.
In 72th minute Ćivić centered in front of the home goal. Home defensive didn´t resolve the situation and Stanciu scored from the long distance. 2:1 for Sparta! And it was not the end!
Letić fouled Sáček in the box area Srdjan Plavšić scored from the penalty.
In the 89th minute Adam Hlozek, sixteen-year-old player substituted Pulkrab and become the youngest Sparta player in the league history. Sparta won 3:1 in Karvina!
