Loss to Partizan

The first game ended by our 0-1 defeat

Sparta's first game in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs ended by 0-1 loss to Partizan. The guests scored in the final part of the match. Before the second match, it is clear that we must win in Serbia.
Sparta head coach Pavel Vrba sent Martin Suchomel to the right side of the defence, Martin Vitík next to him. Adam Karabec started as a offensive midfielder and Adam Hložek on the left wing. Tomáš Čvančara was a striker. Højer, Pulkrab, Julius, LK37, Nita were out due to injury. Wiesner could not play because of a red card in the last game.
In the 4th minute came the first chance of the match and it was for the guests. Markovic's shot was stopped by Dominik Holec.
A moment later, Menig fired from a box line, this time Holec was also successful.
In the 10th minute we saw Sparta's first chance. Hancko headed after Pešek's cross, but goalkeeper Popović sent the ball out of the goal.
Three minutes later, Hancko got the ball to the penalty area, the ball bounced off the defending players to Karabec which fired. But the ball did not end in the Partizan goal.
Immediately after that came another chance! Karabec played a free kick that flew through the box. Unfortunately, no one in the red got to the ball and it ended next to the left post.
In the 28th minute, Marković shot from a distance, his attempt went next to the left post.
Shortly after that, Karabec crossed from a free kick. One of the defenders stopped the ball and Hložek tried to reach it. The ball ended behind the goal line.
Nothing interesting happened in the first half and the score was 0-0.
In the second half we didn't see anything interesting for a long time. But in the 78th minute there was a bad pass in the middle of the pitch, after which Menig went alone to Holec. Menig chopped him and Sparta goalkeeper had no chance. So, 0-1.
Five minutes later, it could be even worse. Jojić was alone in front of him. Domino stopped his shot be y perfect save.
In the added time, Pavelka was close to equalising after Dočkal's offer. But he just missed the ball by his head in the box.
Sparta lost to Partizan 0-1. The rule about goals scored on the opponent's field no longer applies. So, Sparta needs to win by two goals in Serbia. A one-goal win will send the match into the extra time.
