First Team Squad for Training Camp

Sparta head to Germany for pre-season preparations

Share

Sparta’s first team departed for a 12-day training camp in Grassau, Bavaria, where the squad will prepare for the upcoming season under head coach Brian Priske and his staff. The camp is taking place in a picturesque setting near Lake Chiemsee.
Not travelling to Grassau are Václav Sejk, Indrit Tuci, Markus Solbakken, Imanol García de Albéniz, Vojtěch Vorel, and Kryštof Daněk. The club is currently in discussions with all of them regarding their future.
Several recent changes have been made to the squad. Michal Ševčík (FK Mladá Boleslav) and Lukáš Penxa (FK Jablonec) have gone out on loan, while Jakub Uhrinčať (FC Hradec Králové), Matyáš Kozák (FK Teplice), and Radek Šiler (FK Železiarne Podbrezová) have completed permanent transfers. Danish defender Mathias Ross has returned to Galatasaray following the end of his loan spell, with Sparta choosing not to activate the option to buy the player.
Joining the squad are new summer signings Santiago Eneme and Dominik Hollý, as well as other players who are joining pre-season later due to international duty. A fresh face in the team is Pavel Kadeřábek, who signed with Sparta on Monday and immediately travelled with the squad to Grassau.
Also included in the squad are several promising talents from Sparta’s B-team — Ivan Mensah, Roman Mokrovics, Enes Osmani, Daniel Rus, and Petr Zíka — all of whom featured in Friday’s friendly against Mladá Boleslav. Newly crowned U19 European Champion Joeri Heerkens is also part of the camp.
Sparta will play two friendlies during the stay in Grassau. On Thursday, July 3, we’ll take on Danish champions FC Copenhagen. A week later, we face Young Boys Bern in our final test before the new season. Both matches kick off at 16:00 and will be streamed live on UNLIMITED.
