First Team Squad at the Start of Pre-Season

Sparta kick off preparations for the new season under Brian Priske

Sparta’s first team begins the summer pre-season on Sunday, June 15. The opening days will include a round of fitness tests at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University, along with blood samples and eye exams. On Monday, the team will hold their first training session at Strahov.
Preparations for the new campaign begin under the guidance of head coach Brian Priske, who returns to Letná. You can watch his first interview since rejoining the club here. What does the current squad look like for the opening phase of pre-season?
Several players will not join the group from day one due to recent international duty or injuries picked up at the end of the season: Angelo Preciado, Martin Vitík, Jaroslav Zelený, Veljko Birmančević, Santiago Eneme, Lukáš Haraslín, Kaan Kairinen, Ermal Krasniqi, Qazim Laci, and Albion Rrahmani.
Six additional players will join the team later, as they are currently representing their countries at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia: Martin Suchomel, Kryštof Daněk, Dominik Hollý, Adam Karabec, Patrik Vydra, and Václav Sejk. Joeri Heerkens will also arrive later, as he is currently with the Netherlands squad at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
From the players returning from loan spells, the following will join the first team: Vojtěch Vorel (FK Pardubice), Michal Ševčík (FK Mladá Boleslav), Markus Solbakken (Pisa SC), and previously mentioned Kryštof Daněk (LASK), Adam Karabec (Hamburger SV), and Václav Sejk (FC Famalicão).
Four players from the B-team will also take part in the first-team training: Jakub Uhrinčať, Roman Horák, Roman Mokrovics, and Daniel Rus.
The club’s sporting department is currently working on future plans for Lukáš Penxa, Matyáš Kozák, Radek Šiler, and Matěj Polidar.
A press conference with ACS Executive Vice-Chairman František Čupr and head coach Brian Priske will take place on Monday at 14:00 at Letná. The event will be streamed live, exclusively on Sparta UNLIMITED.
