Adam Kotalík, member of the Board of Directors responsible for transfers, will leave AC Sparta Praha in agreement with Daniel Křetínský, Chairman of the Board.
Adam Kotalík, which was previously also CEO, will leave club and all executive positions during the near future. He will be an advisor to the Board of Directors until the end of the current season to help the agenda setting.
“Adam worked at Sparta in a difficult period that was not successful for us, with the exception of the the quarterfinals of the Europa League and the victory in the group of the Europa League. Despite this, we thank Adam for his work for Sparta. He often faced great pressure, which was not fair in many cases. Adam significantly expanded Sparta's radius in the area of transfers. We were able to have quality players from foreign clubs and make economically very successful transfers out of the club. However, the time has come for a change. Tomáš Rosický will be more responsible for the sports department and especially the first team,” said Daniel Křetínský, ACS Chairman of the Board about the end of Adam Kotalík in the club.
“All the competencies of Adam, except the negotiation of transfers and player contracts, will be competencies of Tomáš Rosický. In the area of significant transfers and players contracts, we will cooperate with a lawyer who will take over this agenda as an expert. We will announce his name in a short time. Smaller transfers and contracts will be competitions of the Sparta sports in coordination with the youth section,” said František Čupr, AC Sparta Praha CEO.
Adam Kotalík joined to the club in 2015 and during his time in Sparta he also led transfers from and to the club, including transfers of Bořek Dočkal, Nicolae Stanciu, Guélor Kanga, Srdjan Plavšić, Tomáš Koubek and Martin Dúbravka.
