Great job, Sparta beat Olomouc twice in three days

It was expected to be an even game, as the home side performed poorly in the previous cup match. However, it was Sparta to set the pace in the first minutes of the first half.

Kadlec got the first chance, but his shot was well saved by the home side’s goalkeeper Zlámal, who was lucky after shots by Hušbauer and Krejčí, who hit a crossbar and a post respectively.

It was Krejčí who opened the score. He broke free on the left side and crossed the ball to the box. The whole stadium was surprised, when the ball headed to the goal and Sparta took the 1-0 lead.

Sparta started the second half off brilliantly. Olomouc lost the ball in the corner and Hušbauer found Kadlec unmarked in the box – 2-0.

Only after eleven minutes Sparta widened the gap even more. Matějovský found Lafata with a lovely through-pass, but the striker refused to shoot and passed the ball to Kadlec, who hit the empty net – 3-0.

Both teams had a couple of chances before the final whistle came. Sparta defeated Olomouc 3-0 and moved to the first spot of the league table, as Plzeň play their game on Sunday.
