Even though Admira Wacker had a better start in the Thursday's match, Sparta managed to score in each half and come back to Prague with a valuable 2-0 win.
As said before, the home team was much more active and dangerous in the beginning of the match in Trenkwalder Arena, Wien. After 7 minutes of play, Sabitzer was facing Vaclík in the box, but missed the goal. Burkinabé striker Ouedraogo also missed the goal, trying to finish after Sabitzer's cross from the right.
But it was the away team to score first. Vlastimil Vidlička crossed the ball from the right and Mevoungou scored into his own net. Leo Kweuke had the chance to increase the score, but missed the goal with his header five minutes before the end of the first half.
Sparta have managed to eliminate the home team's best player, Mevoungou, which was the most important task for the second half.
Almost after an hour of play, Sparta managed to score the second goal of the match. Krejčí crossed the ball into the box and Kweuke headed it in.
The home team increased the pace at the very end of the match, but failed to score. Tomáš Vaclík, Sparta's goalkeeper, showed a couple of phenomenal saves in the last minutes of the match to keep the score 0-2.
