Great debut for Sparta in the winter pre-season, as they defeated 2nd division side from Vlašim 2-0. Dočkal and Lafata secured the win with their strikes in the first half.
Sparta started with their strongest line-up, without Krejčí, Holek, and Vácha, who all have a minor health issues which should not be a problem for the upcoming training camp in the Canary Islands.
David Lafata missed the goal with his first chance of the game, and Marek Štěch had to make a huge save on a break away on the other side of the field only minutes later.
After 30 minutes of play, Kadeřábek hit the crossbar, but after a foul on Lafata in the box, Bořek Dočkal finally opened the score from a penalty kick.
After the opener, the second goal was close. First, Mareček missed the goal by inches with his low shot, David Lafata then failed and hit the goalkeeper from a breakaway.
However, the captain had a better luck in the final moments of the first half, and made it 2-0 with a header after a lovely cross by Přikryl.
Younger players came on the pitch in the second half, and the fans had to wait a little bit more for the big chances to come.
Jakub Pešek hit the post with his technical shot from the corner of the box, five minutes later Vlašim’s Hell had the same luck with his header and hit the post in the away side’s biggest chance of the second half.
That was a well-deserved win for Sparta, as they defeated Vlašim 2-0.
