What a night in Mladá Boleslav!

Apart from a couple of changes in the line-up, Zdeněk Ščasný also changed the formation, and Sparta started with 3-6-1, with David Lafata as the only striker up top.

Sparta started the match off well, as Krejčí crossed the ball from the left and Lukáš Vácha opened the score only eight minutes into the match.

However, Sparta’s pace went down a bit after the opener, and Mladá Boleslav stared to create their chances as well. Ščuk missed with his header, unmarked in the box, and then got denied by Bičík from  a similar position a couple of minutes later. Jiří Skalák then finally scored the equaliser, with his rebound from the edge of the box.

More goals started to come in the second half, as David Lafata converted a nice cross by Hybš after only three minutes of play. Unfortunately, the celebrations did not last long – Zahustel levelled the score once again five minutes later.

The match-deciding goals were scored in the very end. First, Costa gave Sparta the lead once again with his header after a corner kick, and David Lafata scored his second of the night only a couple of minutes later with his deflected shot from outside the box.
