Zdeněk Ščasný's men performed dominantly in the first period and secured a 4-1 win.
Sparta started the game with Vatajelu, Ćivić, Pulkrab and Stanciu included in the squad. And it was Nico who could open the score in tenth minute. The Romanian forced a mistake in midfield, but his successful interception was not followed by successful shot despite a good position.
The chances kept coming and we scored shortly after. Pulkrab found a ball after a corner and celebrated his return to the Generali Arena. Just a moment later, Sparta doubled the lead. Stanciu found Tetteh in the box who, facing Šeda, had an easy job, 2-0.
A penalty was given to Mladá Boleslav in 29th minute, but VAR technology made referee changing his previous decision. The score changed on the other side of the pitch, when Chipciu passed the ball into the box in 37th minute and Tetteh stroke for the second time in the first period.
In the second period, Mladá Boleslav was the first team who had a great chance to score, but Přikryl only hit the crossbar. The VAR technology was usefull again in 63rd minute, helping the referee to give a penalty for Sparta. Kanga picked up the ball and set the four-goal difference.
It was game on for the final 10 minutes when Stanciu himself could score - despite recieving a perfect cross-pass from Kanga, he missed the goal. The final score was set by the opponent from Mladá Boleslav by Hůlka's header.
