So many debuts!

Sparta defeated Karviná, the game-winning goal was Daniel Holzer’s first strike for Sparta

Sparta defeated Karvná 3-0 in a mathc full of debuts – Daniel Holzer scored his first goal for Sparta, Filip Havelka was in the starting line-up for the first time and Christian Frýdek made his league debut.
No players got healthy and instead, Václav Kadlec was sidelined with a muscle injury. And because Dočkal and Mazuch were both suspended, Filip Havelka started from the very beginning for the first time in his career in a league match.
Sparta started the match off well, opening the score after only four minutes of play. Mareček found Juliš with an amazing through pass, Juliš crossed the ball quickly and Daniel Holzer hit the empty net. That was his first goal after joining Sparta in the summer.
Sparta then doubled their lead late in the first half, as Costa chipped the ball into the box and Matěj Pulkrab gave Karviná’s keeper Laštůvka absolutely no chance with his header.
Tomáš Koubek, on the other side, was not busy. He saved Eismann’s chance without any serious trouble, and Voltr’s shot from a close distance went high above the bar.
David Lafata was far more effective, though. After a clever passing play with Karavaev, he left one of Karviná’s defence behind and made it 3-0 comfortably.
At the very end, Bosnian youngster Zinedin Mustedanagić could add another to the long list of debuts, only hitting the post with his shot. And that was it for the day, as Sparta earned three points for a 3-0 win.
