Head coach Václav Kotal used the same line-up as against Chrudim. Vitík, Wiesner or Polidar got the chance again. Sparta played with three centre-backs. Vindheim and Polidar started on sides.
Sparta's first chance came in the second minute. Unfortunately, Wiesner did not punish Drobný's hesitation and missed the empty goal.
In the 15th minute, Jánošík fired from a distance. However, the Sparta goalkeeper controlled his shot.
Ten minutes later, Julda finished after the cross from the right. Goalkeeper Drobný dealt with the header. Shortly after that, Juliš was looking for Laco Krejčí, but he was far from the ball.
We had a huge chance a minute before the break. Vindheim sent a great cross from the right side to Laco Krejčí, but he overshot from a small box.
Three minutes after the break, the guests had a great chance when Alvir hit the post. Shortly afterwards, Minchev ended the Sparta action with a shot next to the right post.
Hancko shot from the distance. Goalkeeper Vorel covered his attempt. Eight minutes later, Jánošík added another shot to the statistics. Heča covered his attempt.
After an hour, Dočkal found Polidar in the small box, but he could not get to the shot. Lischka and Kozák came to the pitch instead of Hancko and Juliš.
Sparta had the best opportunity to score in the 74th minute. After a foul on Plechatý, the refeee ordered a penalty. Libor Kozák chose the left side of the goal, but Vorel caught his attempt.
At the end of the second part, Brandner had a great chance. He tried to chop Heča, he toughed the ball and Lischka sent it to the corner.
Eight minutes before the end Kozák headed out of the goal. Shortly afterwards, Souček's shot went next to the left pole.
With 118 minutes played, Matej Mršić shot and hist attempt ended in our goal. Sparta did not find the answer and lost 0-1.
